Pulled this out of the archives today. I had come across this deceased bird roaming around the Morro Bay jetty. My first thought as I was shooting was an anti-pollution ad or poster. So I added the title and the image became stronger. Enjoy!

Shot with a 10-24mm @ 10 mm, 1/250, f/9 @iso 200.

The skies look beautifully bright and clear. Factory also looks as if it were located into a lightly populated or not populated at all.

My suggestion -if I had to do it- would be to grim the whole scene. This poster makes me want to move the roadkill, and do some fishing.

Just my .02 , and thanks for sharing.

Yup, with a little photoshop work (OK, a lot of Photoshop work) you could turn this into a very real looking disaster....

I ranted about ethics in modifying photos like this, but as I reread your post, you are just sharing the pic.
So thanks for sharing. :)

What do you mean "ranted about ethics in modifying photos like this"?

Sorry Bryan, my post did not explain it well at all. Last night there was a response, referring to doing some PP to your original photo to make it look dreadful.

And so I went ape, and typed a lengthy post about how in my opinion it would not be ethical to modify a poster 'against pollution' by adding fake pollution, or manipulating the picture to be something it was not.

Then I wrote that if anything, there were other places in the area, that do pollute something awful, and might work better for a realistic Press photograph.

But then I went back to the photo, to look at it some more, and re-read your post for the tenth time. I realized you mentioned 'archive', and 'just sharing'. So I found all my 'ranting' unnecessary given the situation, after all you were just sharing the pic and not looking for serious CC or a discourse on ethics.

So a minute after posting my original response, I hit Edit, and changed it to what it reads above.

Again, it was my bad and not yours. :)

I hope this explains it.

I see Mario. No harm no foul. Though I am always in the mood for some destructive criticism.
