Decieded I need sometime of work, and convinced the Weka likewise. So we took a little drive up to a less expolored part of New Zealand and headed down one of the Kiapara heads to a little place called Pouto.
12 hours later we got back, having seen some fantastic scenry and got some really good images.

We were expecting to be able to drive to the point and have a short walk to an historic lighthouse. Turned out the lighthouse was actualy 6km up the beach, a good hours walk at least.
Fortunatly one of the locals gave us a lift on his quad bike and was also able to tell us an awful lot about the area.

The light house, looking west-north west back along the base of the norther kiapara head. It sits at the top of a very big sand dune and has to be dug out on a regular basis:

The ride back on the quad, shooting with one hand, holding on at 60kph with the other:

And finaly some native Toitoi making a nice foreground subject to some tradional Kiwi farm land, taken on the way to the point:

Looking at the last one almost makes me homesick! Great image.
I like the other 2 also, though the sky colour seems a little off.

The moving car photos didn't really work, they sort of look like snap shots taken out the window of a moving car (strange that.......).

I wasn't overly impressed with my church results either, can't wait to see yours :)
