Last week I got a 512mb Ultra II from B&H for $119.95. That is down from a couple months ago.

I checked eBay before I ordered it from B&H, and the final prices there were about the same. Mixed in with the other stuff I got at the same time from B&H, the shipping charges were not an issue.

Good luck, but just like any other stuff online, look out for low price nightmares.

Yes, the speed increase not only effects camera writing/reading, but also transfer to your computer (via Firewire/USB 2.0 cardreader that is).

Yes, I picked up a 2gig at B&H, buy.com has them cheaper but not in stock. I just saw in a magazine, these cards now go up to 8gigs. That is the most outrageous thing I have seen to date. They want more than 5k, you could buy another camera with the cost of one card. Insane.

www.buy.com (external link) is slow to ship but they say my 1GB Ultra II card will ship any day now. $199.99 w/ free shipping.

First time buys get a $10 credit there, so $190.00 for a 1GB Ultra II card is great for me!

MrChevy, beware of the 10 Dollar Intro. Credit--apparently, Buy.com sourced out for that coupon and some small print allows them to make small charges on your card monthly.

..to add to the 1GB ULTRA II thread: I ordered two from two different places over the last two weeks in the 200-220 price range and had orders put on hold indefinately, pending shipment to the retailer..basically gave up and ordered the Transcend 45X from newegg.com for approx 230.

Yeah, after I made my purchase I was sent to another screen (the one you are talking about), I DECLINED to join that rip-off setup. Got my $10 credit and told them to stick the other where the sun don't shine.

GOTTA read the small print!

Thanks for the heads up though, might save someone from signing on that new screen.

I always really try to keep my eyes open to the "small" print, 'cause that IS where they stick it to you.

Lemme know how long it took you to get your Ultra II in eventually, because I kept getting impatient because they were out of stock and waiting for shipments coming in (waited a week, told it take another week, etc. etc.)

I just got three Sandisk Extreme 1GB cards

$229 after rebate. I'm pretty happy with the deal. 60x is fast enough for now.

Thanks for stopping in and having a look.
Prints of my work are available for purchase. Please contact me offline or thru PM if you are interested.

Buy.com Sandisk 1MB Ultra

I ordered a 1GB Sandisk Ultra II from Buy.com a couple of weeks ago at $199. There was a coupon floating about for $15 off a $200 order. So I added a Lexar USB 2.0 Card Reader as I needed one anyway and grabbed the coupon which took the CF Card to $184. It said $15 off $200 for new customers only, but I have bought tons of stuff from them and it accepted OK and gave me the $15 instantly.

The Card Reader came in three days and they emailed me and told me the CF Ultra Card was out of stock. It came yesterday - all as ordered - and about 10 days late. But what the heck, it came and at $185.
