A couple of weeks ago I was down at the Cobourg waterfront looking for ducks, my Canon 1.4 extender had arrived a few days earlier and I thought it was time to find some ducks. I started out with my 300 f/4.0 and no extender.

I wasn't there but a few minutes when this CP-140 maritime patrol aircraft flew by. Here in Canada we call this an Aurora (rather than an Orion). We also have another version (Arcturus) without the anti-submarine gear, used for training and costal and shipping surveillance.

I know that the shutter speed was too fast to blur the propellers.

I know that the shutter speed was too fast to blur the propellers.

At that sideways angle, it's really hard to get any blur at all.
