Great shot Mitch of the Wren. Looks like it was right in front of the lens!. How are you liking the Bigma? Can you hand hold?
Thanks Rathke. The bird was right in front of me when I first saw it, not 4 feet away and I didn't dare move. He was too close anyway, then he flew to that rung of a table he's perched on and that's where I took the shot, at about 15 feet. I am loving the Bigma, and you can hand hold for short periods but I use either the Monopod or Tripod even when I am shooting from my window blind like today. It's just too heavy to hold steady by hand.

Excellent image, Mitch.
So you are now using a Better Beamer. The eye looks great for using a flash. Did you use a bracket as well. If so, what kind? I am in the market.
Thanks Ed. No, didn't use a bracket, just on top of the camera. I have a bracket, one of those with the flex arm on it from B&H that I got for Macro, but there is no way to put the camera on that and the bracket on the tripod. This is the only shot out of maybe 15 so far with the Beamer, that doesn't have that bad light spot in the eye. And even this one has a small spot.
