imature bald eagles picking on ducks

i was out taking pictures of the local birds, i was these eagles in a tree,,, when i got too close they flew away... not just away but they decited that if i was going to get close they were going to pick on the ducks that were in the lake... i think these were coots but they were fairly far away.

i got the impression they were not trying to catch any...
no a side note i allmosted to lacross. for centurytel, they closed our area and offered us an option to move there. it was a nice place but i am glad i stayed

I have seen Eagles take Coot every day. They are primarily fish eaters but will take any game available.

It is a nice place. I've been moving all my life, and never liked any of them as a place to live. Party, yes, live, no. But La Crosse is a great place to live, if you have to live East of the Mississippi. :mrgreen:
