Mine just arrived today :D Sorry, no ducks yet. It's my first new lens in way too long so I'm pretty excited. I can't believe how long I waited to buy this bad boy. I can honestly say, even after just a few snapshots, this lens lives up to the hype. Wow. 35L arrives tomorrow. Maybe I should have tested that one first :)

I walked outside and shot this. Just resized for web. (I changed the initial image)

Wow, 20 minutes and not a single view....

Is it that bad? Did I do something wrong?

I like the look of the bokeh, very smooth.
Mine should be coming this Friday, I intend to test it out at the Getty Center Sat.

Nice, be sure to post pics. One of the things I realized about my image is that it's probably not the best subject. At f/2 the DOF is so narrow, part of the tree is out of focus.

Oh well, you live and learn.

I have huge lens envy. Two of the 3 incredible L primes in one week, you're doing pretty well. Lovely bokeh by the way!

Thanks man! Yeah I hadn't bought a new lens in over a year, which is a long time for me. I wasn't planning on the 135L but I found a sweet deal on the FM forums. So I figured why not.

One thing that's great about these lenses is that they hold their value. So if I find myself not using/liking one, I won't hesitate to sell it.

135L is one of my favorite lens. Congrat on your new lens. Go out, shot more and enjoy it. :)

So I just passed the original image through one pass of USM. Good Lord

Please bear with my newbishness (is that even a word?). You guys have to understand, I've never shot with a lens anywhere near this sharp, until now. So bear with me...
