Although it was perched this guy almost never stopped moving and afforded many poses. I also thought it looked good with the blue BG behind it. I've never seen so many cooperative Tree Swallows before...

Whoa, these are excellent. The few I've shot, the blues got blown out quite bad.

Fantastic shots!! I'm right there with Canonloader, my blues get blown out as well. Thanks for sharing! Were you using the 100-400L? I'm still debating on whether to go with that or the 300 mm f/4 w/ 1.4TC. If you were using the 100-400 you're really helping me make up my mind!

Michele, yes these were taken with the 100-400. Great versatile lens...I've had no regrets with it in the 15 months since I've had it. I've never used the 300 f/4 therefore I can't comment on it, but I've heard nothing but good things about it too...tough decisions!;)
