Picked up my EF 300mm f/4L IS USM and 1.4 X today

Found it advertised on EBay Australia in Melbourne for $1799 Aud. and 1.4 X Converter for $449 Aud.

I rang the advertiser (add said that the origin was IN Melbourne) and asked him if he would sell to me direct for cash and he agreed.

The end result was $1700 for the lens and $400 for the 1.4X and I am very happy with the price.

Tomorrow I am heading for the High Country in Victoria to try out this lens and I can hardly wait.
