Here is the link for the plugin for Raw2 that MKII uses. It works like a charm, glad to have this feature back, I don't like the way we have to handle Raw files with the new software. This is much easier.

Nil:
Thanks for the link. I've already downloaded and installed it. Now, I'm just waiting for the batteries to charge up on the Mk II. I don't expect to see much activity until morning.

Thanks again.

Tom

Thanks vvizard and Nilologist:

It is definitely a thing of beauty. I bought a spare battery and I'm doing the charge/refresh thing with it three times as recommended. In the meantime I'm just charging the battery that came with it 'cause I can't wait to get out and shoot some pictures. I just took five pictures of the window shade in my office (in about half a second). :lol:

Now bring on them fast-moving trains!! :D :D

NiL,

Relax, if there's one thing Adobe want, it's pro photographers. They're the only one who can afford buying Photoshop anyway ;) Therefore it's utterly important for Adobe to please them. Also, if you're worried in the future, check out this site:

http://www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/ (external link)

That's the dcraw-utility we Linux-users use for converting RAW-images, and according to the auther of the tool:

The following image viewers use dcraw or pieces of dcraw.c to decode raw digital camera images:

Adobe Photoshop
Bibble by Eric Hyman
BreezeBrowser by Chris Breeze
Conceiva Lightbox
cPicture by Jürgen Eidt
dcRAW-X by Bryan Chang
GraphicConverter by Thorsten Lemke
IrfanView by Irfan Skiljan
++++++++
++++++++

So if he's honest about Photoshop actually using his software for the raw-decoding, you should have no worries, as this guy is writing code faster than certain forum-members are writing forum-posts here ;) On he's site he says he was laid off a month, and that month he decrypted the RAW-formats for NINETEEN kodak-cams, The EOS 1Ds, and several others ;) So he sure is productive huh? :shock:

NiL,

I downloaded the Windows binary today and my RAW conversions (which worked with Breeze) did not convert properly and gave me random garbage. Will try downloading it again.

This plugin is for Photoshop CS, not sure what other programs it will work with.
