Someone challenged me to get the classic "on a spade shot". Certainly shows how small these birds are.

First effort before the weather closed in - wet windy stuff not seen here for a month before yesterday so mustn't grumble.

Canon 600D, 40D, 350D + 50mm 1.8, Sigma 18-200is, 70-200 2.8DG and 70-300. Still have A1 and 300 EOS and must get out my Rollei TLR sometime

I have never seen a shot of a Robin I didn't like, they are such beautiful little birds. Better looking than those sparrows you sent us last time. ;)

Nice capture here. It may be just my monitor but I'm seeing a distinct halo all around the outline of the bird.

My fault - supposed to be doing something else! Very quick edit and tidying up after Noiseimage with history brush done in too much of a hurry!

Thanks for the kind comments - It is driving me wild trying to persuade it to pose the right way round. Have a small container taped lower down the spade handle and starlings get to it before the robin has a chance! Perches everywhere else but where you want it!
