A great week-end of racing at a very picturesque Oulton Park. Kiyonari and Lavilla were the winners on the day and dominated both practice and qualifying sessions. A few images from the week-end, 50+ more on http://www.bsbsuperbikes.co.uk (external link)

Tommy Hill (Virgin Yamaha)

#1 is great. Very aggressive body posture on the rider + a lifted front wheel. Excellent.

Simon.

Very nice shots, they all show great movement and are also very sharp. Impressive work.

Great shots!.

I'm not sure what going on with your gallery software on your site,
I started clicking around a few images, and it gets all confused, you can't click on an image to go back, etc.

Still, nice shots, did you pay the Dorna fee to be allowed to display them?
(I know they get very upset!!)

Thanks for the favourable comments..

Swaffs: Most people use the navigation buttons marked NEXT and PREVIOUS rather than clicking the larger images but understand what you are saying so have made the Oulton Park pages "idiot proof".

Regarding Dorna, I understand they are keen to stop unauthorised photographers selling their photos of their BSB series, not showing them (and getting free publicity). If you link to the official BSB web site http://www.britishsuperbikes.com (external link) there is a whole section dedicated to BSB photos.

Cheers

Nice shots.

I bagged a few shots there too. I'll post some when I get a chance...

As for the copyright / authorised photographer bit, this seems to be featured regularly in the terms and conditions of entry at sporting venues. I think strictly speaking, putting photos up on sites like this could be interpreted as 'publishing' the photos, which in breech of the T&Cs. However, as I understand it, this position has not been tested in the courts yet and as long as you're not making a load of money out of them, I don't suppose anyone is going to get sued anytime soon. If they were serious, they'd have to stop people taking cameras into the circuit and from what I see, that would exclude a lot of punters.

If you don't say where the pictures where taken, presumably it might be awkward to prove that 'ownership' of the image belonged to anyone other than the photographer. Unless of course the camera includes GPS positioning in the exif these days....:)

Cheers!
