action or program to batch process ICC profiles

i have been trying to figure out how to apply an ICC profile to a folder of images,

some have suggested that i write a "script" or action to do it, but i have not been able to get it to work properlly.

does anyone know of an easy way to convert a folder full of 40 images to a specific color profile?

Write an action:
1) Open an image (doesn't matter what).
2) Convert image to desired profile.
3) "Save As" (to a different folder).
4) Close image.
5) Hit stop on the actions dialog.

6) File -> Automate -> Batch
7) Select input and output folders.
8) Select "override open" and "override save as" check boxes.
9) Hit go.

It should take less time to do that it did me to write this post
