Greats shots of the hawk John, and that flicker is the best I've seen.

I've gotten some long shots of them but they were always in the grass eating ants. The only time I've seen one in a tree, it looked like a dot, way too far away and I couldn't get closer. :)

Those are excellent, especially the cooper's hawk. Man, what a regal bird!

What a great bird of prey. Great capture as well. What aperture size did you use?

John good capture of these birds. The Coopers looks just like one that Gary and I saw about a month ago in the west end of town. Was this taken at Mud Lake by any chance?

Thanks guys again for looking.
Stephen; Yes, it was at Mud Lake, I was walking from the south side of the lake and before I hit the bridge, there s/he was, just staring at me. Than it took off and I saw the crows making lot of noise at the other side and were upset about something, so I crossed the bridge and Of course, there s/he was again. That's when I shot the second set. You can see the branch is different on the second one. I walk by that place many times before, even with Wayne and Dan, but this was the first time I saw one.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p
