japanese instrumental band MONO played to a pretty full house last month, less than 8 months after being in the support slot at the same venue. known for glacial epics which eventually turn to frenzied peaks, they mine the same land as mogwai, godspeed you black emperor, explosions in the sky, and others. fellow countryman world end's girlfriend opened up, though they didn't play any of the collaborations they've recorded together and released.
gear used for these photos was 30D, sigma 30 (4 and 6), canon 70-200 IS f/2.8 (3, 8 [taken @ 1/50th, wide open at ISO 3200!]), canon 50 (1) and canon 85 (the rest). i also shot w/ my 17-55 but didn't use any of those photos in this thread.

That stool or whatever is a little annoying in 6, but I still love the pose and composition. 7 is the classic narlus shot, I may have cropped just a little closer on the left and top though.
