Nice shots Dan. That Hairy Woodpecker is a pretty elusive bird down here. You did good to get him in the open. Is the other one a Purple Finch?

The Hairies here aren't too bad to get, and yes, that's a male Purple Finch. There are lots of them here at the moment although they were missing all winter.
