Taken about a month ago, just found the image again and remembered that I should post it. It's not tack sharp, was taken with my 1D and 300mm f4, I just missed anticipating it flying off and didn't have the 1D set to motordrive or AI Servo AF :( Still, not bad for a on the fly attempt lol.

Wow.....that is nice, I like the impression of motion caused by the wings blurring. Kick up the contrast and saturation a bit, I think it could be awesome. The bokeh works well too.

Thanks guys - I did anticipate the bird flying off, just not quite quick enough, with the right camera settings. I'm going to try and get some cockatoo in flight shots over the next few weeks from our balcony (well, that's the plan!).

guitarman3 - it's a Crimson Rosella. :) Beautiful birds.
