This has been an interesting read with great insights from users. I'm definity going to order one to use with my soon-to-be AB800 as well as 580ex2.

Cheers:)

Is it possible to use the hotshoe->PC adaptor to hook up the transmitter to a lightmeter?

I've been using this, but I don't know the model .. it's a pretty common device so someone should have a link to one, it's just a hotshoe with a sync cord on the other end.

Same as the one here:

I just ordered one of these Gadget Infinity V2 Cactus triggers last night. I got an email notification this morning that it had shipped. I'm really looking forward to trying this thing out. At this price, how can you go wrong?

I just received mine yesterday - using with a 20D and 430EX. Unfortunately it seems to misfire a LOT. To the tune of about once per minute. I've tried setting it to different channels as well. Lemon? User error? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I use a 20D with a Sigma 24-70 or a Sigma 70-200 or a Tamron 18-200 or a Nifty and from time to time a 430EX

That's strange. From the other responses in this thread i'd say it might be a dud? Batteries may need replacing?

I ordered mine about a week ago, so it hopefully should show up in the next week. Looking forward to it:D
