A Bonus (Indigo Bunting)

I was Shooting Eagles and had a visitor (Click went the shutter)

i bet that was a surprice gary what a lovely bird it looks like some one has taken a uk greenfinch and airbrushed it.

It was a surprise, They actually change color with the light

I thought it was a bluebird at first but it changed color in the sun from a Aqua to purple Didn't know what color the camera would get and it has a couple on it.

They are a pretty bird but hard to tell what color they are as it changes each time you look

That is definately a bonus . I would be thrilled to get an opportunity just to see one let alone get a wonderful image .

Great picture!. I agree that they change shades depending on the lighting angle. It's all about the feather structure.
