i'm confused, are you saying the F-35 is the Y-23, because its not, it was originally the Joint Strike Fighter. Anyway, the F-35 is awesome, cant wait till they bring one of them to an airshow.

These shots are mazing.. I can never got over how exceptional the paint camo is on these,. every pic I see makes them look "soft" (and I don't mean like camera soft) I mean like fluffy soft skin.. all part of the stealth tech.. but the visual impression is mazing as well. Spotting one in the clouds must be impossible!

P.S. JSF 35 is designed by the people that brought us the Raptor, ie" Lockheed Martin, AND the Grumman Northrup team that brought us the YF-23... so it's got heritage and technology developed by both of those aircraft.
Pretty cool really.

Partially correct...Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Pratt & Whitney combine make the F-22. Also, 7th Sept 97, the first F-22 makes maiden flight to FL150 (15,000 ft) un under 3 minutes. According to the Boeing website under history.
