Stupid question about DPP

Ummm, how exactly do I convert to .tiff so I can open my RAW images in CS2? I'm using DPP that came with my XTi. I've taken some photos with a Hoya r72 IR filter and I really don't know what to do in DPP now that it's open.

Terribly sorry if this is elementary level stuff but I've never worked with RAW before.

If you want to just do one image, click file then convert and save. Fill out the blanks in the box. You may want to create a new directory for tiffs first by using file...create new directory.
If you want to do many at one, select the ones you want and click file...batch. A box will open and away you go. The tiffs will reflect whatever edits you did in DPP. Your RAW images remain unchanged.

Thanks very much. Now I need to learn just what messing with White Balance does...

When you go to batch process, there is a drop down menu with jpg selected by default, if you click on the down arrow you will see 8bit tiff, 16bit tiff, and one that does tiff and a jpg version.

Adjust your pic in DPP, and the go to tools / Transfer to photoshop.
