The Ruddy and Cinnamon Teal were new sightings for me this week. Hope you like one of these! Thanks for taking time to look.

Wow, tough crowd today! :) I was hoping to get some feedback on this group of photos but only 16 views in 20 hours and no replies. Hoping it just slipped under the radar since I posted it so late. Hope folks don't mind if I push it thru for one more try.;)

These are nice shots Dennis. I haven't seen a Cinnamon Teal yet and if I ever see a Ruddy Duck, I'll probably laugh and scare it away. :D

More people need to read this. ;)

These are all nice shots, I really like the Cinnamon Teal, I have no luck getting close to this guy. :)

Thanks Mitch for looking and for the kind comments. That Ruddy was a loooong way off but I could see it was a new species for me. Amazing color on the bill!

Thanks for your link to the sticky, too. I know it's impossible to look at every post that appears--most of us just can't spend the time to do it. But I do often look for the zero reply posts and try to bump them thru for another shot. And this time of the year there seems to be a lot more posts since folks are out shooting more. Hopefully, more folks will think about bumping the zeroes that they see.

downy, thanks for the nice comments and the look. I, too, liked the Teal the best but wish I hadn't cut off the head of the reflection. This was darn near a full frame shot and I think I was so excited to get so close I forgot to back off of 500mm a little bit to get more in the picture.

Very nice. I particularly like the Cinnamon Teal.

I had the same problem all winter with the Ruddys then one day I found a small flock of them on a small, narrow channel between shore and a small island in a pond and was able to shoot to my hearts content. The Ruddys are one of my favorite ducks.

The Teal stands out here with my only nit being that strand of grass in the bittom right of the image.

Thanks Keith, Ed, Gary & Sindri for the looks and the comments. Gary, I agree the grass should come out! Thx!
