These were all taken in the last few days with the 30D and 400 F5.6. The 580EX was used for flash fill in all shots. The first 3 images are of a Ruby Crowned Kinglet and it comes in at 10 CM .. The Brown Creeper also comes in at 10CM. Both these species rarely stop moving and are a challenge to photograph. The Chipping Sparrow is also quite tiny and I belivee it is the smallest of the sparrows...much easier to photograph:D All were photographed in my yard with the Creeper being a first for the yard.

Fine set of shots Gary. Those pose in the third shot makes it my favorite. The entire series is well done! :)

Awesome job Gary;

What a backyard oasis you have...

Ruby-Crowned front facing image is my favorite for the flash of red (Ruby) on the head.

Great catch on the Creeper Gary. And in the yard. But, #3 wins me over, just cause he's so cute. :)

Great shots, I like #2 due to the angle, but #3 has a lot of attitude. Sometimes what we find in our yards in better then traveling miles.

Reality is a figment of someone elses imagination ! :shock:

All great shots, Gary. I really like the chipping sparrow. His stance makes him look like king of the yard.
