Barely worth laughing about.

All his sales before this have been sports memorabilia - $10 to $100 range.

Now a 5d?

I suspect a hijacked account.

EMail the seller and ask for a photograph of the actual camera, see if you get a response.

Exactly, be real careful what you purchase on Ebay.

I'm scared of when the scammers start charging real prices.

just to help add to the fact that this is a scam:

1. it states under the seller's account:

"This item is not covered by buyer protection on eBay"

2. it doesn't have a specified method of payment anywhere in the description

Practically all of the seller's items on ebay are small sports memorabilia, then up pops a handful of higher dollar electronics and a couple of dresses. What's with that???
Possibly a high-jacked account.

I sent the seller a question/request through eBay asking for pictures of the actual item and with info in the picture confirming the seller is in possession of the goods. No response yet.

What I cant believe is how not a week goes by without someone popping up here trying to figure out if one of these is true. If you have been a member for a while or have been lurking and researching, you should have a fair idea of what prices are, and I suspect that no one out there is in this hobby just to make people happy by reselling their gear for peanuts. The old adage doesnt hold any more truer than in this hobby, IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS.
