Welcome to the POTN Forum... Hang around with us and check out our postings...

I hate to put it to you right up front, but... We mostly avoid "up the nose" shots... and we also try to get some face, in the shot... in other words, the "mike in mouth" doesn't work for most of us... I'd recommend as others here attest, to wait till he moves the mike further from his face... ;)

Generally speaking, we also shoot a lot of images... I personally like to use up all of my memory cards...and let the best pics fall out of the sort, done later at home...

So now having said that... It's a pretty good technical shot...
What lens did you use?

I see this was at 28mm, 1/30th of a second, ISO 400...

I would raise the ISO on your EOS Rebel to about 800...gain on shutter speed and fire away...:D

There is some compiled information that is (well, lets just say, required reading (not), but) recommended... and that is the "Sticky" threads at the top of the front page of this Performing Arts Section... Other than that, and fixing you up with some sort of free photo storage service like (hint, hint; photobucket.com).. You'll be able to post up to eight - 800 x 600 size pics here in your thread... Export your pics to photobucket (or a similar service) and than just copy and paste the image link into your posting...

later...

I this case, I don't think I mind the mic. Although a full-out-no-holds scream would have been nicer ;)
Agree about the 'up the nose' comment though.
It's a nice shot, pretty intense, but a bit of ambient would have been nice as well.
On a side note: I'd clone out the guitar headstock in the left.

Rene, do you mind staying away from my keyboard? I was just going to post that myself.

Thanks for the critique. I was going to black it out but I really do not like to PS things out. I guess I like things they way they are. But it would look better if it was out of the picture.

i actually like both of these shots. the bit about the cloning of the left parts of the guitar stand, but yeah...good effort and b/w conversion.
