Just a hour of fun with the GBH just setup and started shooting not the same bird but several

OK, somehow the Tiny Tim song, "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" comes to mind. :D

Very nice shots Gary. How are you getting such sharp shots with Manual Focus? What equipment are you using?

I have a 500/4 IS with a 1.4 TC an Tripod with Wimberley Gimble Head Most of these are 90% crop for position only.

Once you get your balance right it is the only way to go for Big lens and panning shots.

I have a Acra Swiss Ball Head B1 and Added a Wimberley SideKick for about $70. I use the Ball head for Non Big Lens

These are Good practice birds for framing, tracking, Exposure and capturing action. They are plentiful here and a bit of a change from gulls.
