The Townsen's Warbler is hard for me, it does not sit still and when it spots me it immediately takes off as you can see in this shot.

The Swainson's Thrush came as a surprise, I thought it was just a large Hermit thrush until I studied the image.

A couple of nice captures here Dennis of two species I have absolutely nothing on. If the Warbler was mine I would try burning or cloning out the white spot under the catchlight in the eye to see how that looks.

Gary Fairhead C/C welcome .....

I am not too good at this, but here is my try.

Very nice shots, very sharp with great details... I do prefer the re-worked image without the steel eye.:)

Nice pair of photos Dennis! #2 is exceptional with the good sharpness and detail of the feathers, and the BG. Doesn't mean I'm not envious of #1 though! I haven't even spotted a Townsen, let alone captured one.

Congrats on a couple of new ones. They thrush is my favorite because of the incredible detail . I have seen many new species myself this spring but all I managed was some shots from far away.

Great images Dennis. I know how hard this is, living in a bush. BTW, did you get your mailbox set up? :D
