I currently own a 30D and 1D Mark IIN and plan to upgrade one of these cameras this year. My shooting is everything from my nephew's hockey games to landscape and travel.

Option A.
Keep the 1D Mark IIN and upgrade the 30D to the 5D's replacement when available.

Option B.
Upgrade the 1D MarkIIN to a Mark III and upgrade the 30D to a 5D.

My existing IIN meets all my sports needs with the 5fps 30D serving as a good backup. The thought of a 5D replacement is with the hope that it might increase to 5fps also.

Until I upgrade to FF would you keep the 17-55IS on the 30D or sell it now and get a 16-35 or 24-70 to use on the 1D in the meantime?

Right now I only use my 70-200 & 100-400 on the 1D. I could use the 85 f/1.8 but the need hasn't arisen since I've purchased the 1D.

Optoin A seems a whole lot cheaper to me, go with that.....the MKIIn as you well know is a very capable camera, and the 5D replacement can`t be that far off........can it

Option C:
Add the 5D to your collection along with a few primes.
35L and 135L come to mind.
Enjoy!
