Fine series of a beautiful looking bird Mitch - very well exposed.
I belive there is an Australian finch called a 'Cutthroat' would have been a great name for this guy. Nice work.
Regards Alan.

Thanks sharpy. Cutthroat would be a great name for him, but it wouldn't be politically correct or OK with the moral majority. ;)

As usual, your pictures are top notch, Mitch! You have to be the Pied Piper of Birds!

I just saw my first rose breasted grosbeak up here yesterday. I have a ton of pine siskins at my thistle feeder right now. The yellow finches are here too. Why don't you send a few of those orioles up here? I'll get the orange cut up along with the jelly and put on the deck!!

Isn't spring great!:)

Thanks Gerry. Ya know, I have only seen a few Orioles so far, although they are around. I did see a couple in the wetlands this morning and got a few pics, but they were gone too soon. Would love to sweet talk them into a photo session. :)

Thanks Shirley. These birds are so cool, and it looks like they are here for the summer. I see them at the feeders several times a day now. :)

I used to get them at my feeders in the spring but they only stuck around until the bugs came out and then I would never see them again. Haven't had any around yet this year, but I hope to.

Hmmm, well, the bugs are definately out already. Maybe they are just lazy or the food is too good. :)
