I would like to thank all of you that offered your tips and ideas a few weeks ago. This was my first attempt at shooting a concert, and it was my younger brothers senior jazz concert. I have to say that i am happy with the results,
please offer any C&C as i would like to get better, and if you have any ideas on how to PP these to make them better please let me know,

all shot with a 20D and the niffty fifty, handheld with no flash, shot in RAW and converted with CS2......

I guess i'll be the first to say that your attempt was great. I'm actually a fan of the first two--sorry to disagree w/ you. The last one the sax is too red and orange. if it appeared duller and w/ more yellow, i could be persuaded to change my mind but right now the color is off for me. again, you are going to have to show me how to perfect this technique.

Thank you buds,
You may be right on the last one the color is to warm, but it looked better on my PC at home than it does here at work. i will tone the color down a bit and see how that looks. As for the technique it is pretty simple, i will show you some time, after i beat you at FIFA again, and again and agian.

Well done for a first attempt - #2 is my pick of the bunch.

The one criticism I have is that all the shots are very staid, they don't seem to capture any emotion from the performance (maybe it wasn't possible to get any shots like that).

I see what you mean, but that is just kind of how they were. It was a school required concert so i think they all just wanted to get it over with.

Yep. #2 is nice.
#3 needs a bit lower WB.

Very nice, I really like the concept of #4 with a tad less of an orangey cast to the sax. The music stand (I think that's what it is) blocking the lower part of the sax in #1 seems distracting to me. The group shot is very nice. I bet your brother is tickled to have these photos! Good job. :)
