Osprey In-flights

I went to the local Osprey nest (same one where Dan, Shirley and I took some photos a while back). The Osprey was a great model.

Those are amongst better osprey flight shots i have seen here, Trevor.
I think you had a good light whereby there are shadows on the bird....which definitely helps make them look more "alive".
Also, good shot exposure always beats too much subsequent photoshop processing.

peter I did have good light, low evening sun, which just happens to be behind me when I go to the nest. And thanks for the compliment.

Wow, excellent shots. She had to be close at those settings. Were you in a hide or wearing camo? I notice she didn't look right at you even once in any of these.

Actually, I didnt see her on the nest she was nestled in so deep, I seen the male land on the shore and put the sneak on....she flushed from the nest and squawked the alarm, as she circled behind some trees, I tucked into a small spruce stand and shot as she circled over me. the only opening above me was as she went by, so no frontal shots.
