Why does my image color differ in PS and the actual saved image?

Actual image is much more 'dull' in comparison to the image I see in PS?

Should my screen be calibrated perhaps .... ?

Calibrating the screen is always a good thing...

Make sure the profile you're saving the image to is sRGB if it's being posted to the web.

If you're printing, save to TIFF/PSD with an ARGB profile.

What's your default profile set to in PS? sRGB or ARGB?

My default is set to sRGB - still - the color differs quite significantly :(

Do you mean between the PS image and the image opened in another application? Or between PS image and the printed out image?

My thought exactly...where exactly are you viewing the image that it appears dull?
