While I can't speak for the 30D, the one on my XTi looks like the black one in the bottom picture.

Where did you buy the camera from? If it's an authorized dealer (or that you have a one year Canon waranty), I wouldn't worry at all. Could be that Canon is changing their label. I got my 5D over a month ago...it has a gray label itself: I checked its wording and everything, and it has the same disclaimers/icons as your label.

At least I would think that Canon could be changing their labels....is it that common to have a counterfeit camera? I thought the usual gray market scam was to import a cheaper Canon somewhere else and sell it without telling you(which would mean you're getting a camera, but not a waranty). Since your disclaimer is for North America, it doesn't look to be a gray market camera. Although there's no FC statement on your white label.

*edit* I noticed your label had a different number then the gray version: I just googled DS126061....looks like it might be a model number for a 20D! Me suspects you didn't buy from a legitimate reseller :(

Does the front of the camera say "30D" on it or "20D"? From what I can make out, the DS126061 product code is for the 20D and DS126131 is for the 30D. Take a picture and check the Exif information. That'll tell you exactly what camera you have.

a 30d has a much larger rear lcd then a 20d, it's pretty obvious from the back...

You are right, that DS126061 is Canon 20D.

Yes, it would be pretty obvious if one knew what the 20D looked like in the first place. But not everybody does. :)

OK, so I'm confused now. Were you trying to determine if your camera label was a counterfeit or the label on the 2nd picture? I initially thought that maybe you were questioning if you had gotten a fake 30D because the label on it doesn't match the label of another 30D shown in the 2nd picture.

But since the fact that the camera in the 1st picture is a 20D didn't surprise you even though you had said that you had purchased a 30D (typo?) a month ago, I'm now thinking that you were in fact questioning whether the label on the 2nd picture was the real thing. Is that right?

Now, that's really suspicious. The serial number in the Exif and the one on the body should match and it doesn't on yours. What type of camera did the Exif say you have?

Certainly it is visible. I am disappointed. I think so it is necessary to address to firm Canon to warn there is a suspicion. How think?

I tried this and no serial number is reported on my pictures. I tried it on a 20D and a 30D!
No serial number at all!

Am I doing something wrong?
