Kestrels Revisited

I went back to the place where I saw the Krestels mating last week. Sure enough the pair was right there sitting in the same tree. The light was much better this time and I feel these shots are a big improvement.

The male flew and landed on a nearby branch.

The female was sitting on the same branch she was on last week. She had that come hither look again....

The male soon joined her on the branch and tried to swoon her with his charming ways.

Really nice behavior series, Shirley..These are some of my favorite raptors..Must be spring in Canada, my kestrels are rearing their chicks now.

My favorite too. You wouldn't think it was spring today with the cold temperatures, but it is indeed.

Cool catch on these birds. Not an easy species to get close to.
