Birds from Nassau

Hi guys.... Surgery scheduled for the 30th..... I am back and forth to Florida so often it is hard to keep track of where I am.... Finally scheduled.... Anyway.... Here are a few.... I hope you are all well.....Alex

I like the Iguanabird. I hear that they are highly prized for their plumage which is why you usually find them picked bare.

Hi Scott So far no luck.... I keep stomping my foot to try and put them to flight, but I think they are just to lazy.... Of course because the locals keep plucking their feathers I imagine that creates an issue for them as well .... Thanks pal.... Glad you liked the shot.....Alex

Thanks a lot Waussie.. I have never had the chance to get a good inflight as they cruise low enough when the sun is about gone... This was a fluke to get the chance to see one grounded and close enough to get the detail.... I appreciate the nice comment... Take care.....Alex

Hi Jim Nice to hear from you.. I picked up a 1D while in Florida on my last trip over, and what an amazing difference in fast, and accurate focusing.... I am on a learning curve with it.... Thanks for the nice comments as always.... I appreciate it.... How is your 100-400 working out?? Mine has now proven to be sharp wide open, and deadly accurate.... The pro body has proven to be all that was needed to bring out the very best in the lens, and as you know, I liked it plenty before that ... Take care....Alex
