I recently purchased a Pantone Huey to calibrate my Gateway monitor in order to print better photos on my Pixma 8500. The prints still aren't coming out right when I print using Canon Easy-Photo Print or Lightroom. My printer color management profile is set at automatic to Huey FPD 181054895. The monitor's color management profile is also set at Huey FPD 181054895. The prints look nothing like what the one on the monitor looks like; they're a bit dark, even dull looking. Lightroom really improved the look of the picture, yet I'm not seeing in the print.
Am I doing something wrong? What is the best way to set up a calibrated monitor and a Pixma printer? Both instruction manuals don't have much to say about color profiles.
Thanks in advance.
