This is not a RAW vs JPG thread. So please move on if you don't like JPG.

What do you use for JPG setting on the 1D MK II non-N?

I shoot RAW most of the time but occasionally switch to JPG for those time I don't want to PP alot and just want to pop the CF into my printer and print out for family members and such.

Also for sports, I shoot JPG.

I upp'ed contrast and sharpness but I found that stand settings is pretty flat compare to my old 20D

What color Matrix do you use?

2Portrait? 3Hsat, Adobe? or custom settings?

Please share yours?

Thanks

I shoot AdobeRGB, RAW most of the time, but I think if you want to "pop the CF into the printer", sRGB might be a better choice. Depends on how (if) the printer handles color magement.
Depending in printsize, you might want to set the sharpening a bit higher.
I always post process a bit, so my settings were sat -1 and sharpness 0, since I used a bit if curves and sharpening in PS. They'ld probabely be at 0 and +4 for direct printing.

Thanks Rene. Do you know if ARGB makes a different with JPG?

I currently have it at Portrait but it's "redder" than I like.

Adobe vs. sRGB is something you should really decide on based on what your customary output device supports. Most commercial printers and many inkjets support sRGB not Adobe so sRGB would be a better choice for them. If you're likely to use an Adobe-calibrated device, then by all means work in AdobeRGB and convert as needed but otherwise stick with sRGB.

I always shoot in JPEG - shoot sports almost exclusively so have little time for PP and also need the quickest workflow possible.

I shoot in colour matrix 1 (Standard) with a standard curve, Sharpness 0 and contrast at -1. The contrast setting is set so that I get a little more control over the contrast in harsh lighting conditions.

Hope this helps a little!

On AdobeRGB vs. sRGB: as said: If you don't do any PP, it depends on how your printer handles them.
Have a read in the link in my sig: There are some links about sRGB vs. AdobeRGB.

'Portrait' as in 'picture style'? The 1D2 doesn't support that in jpg.
IMO the only picture style worth using is Neutral, and maybe standard or faithfull... YMMV.
