OK, this answer question might be blatantly obvious to some, but I can't figure it out. How can I make Photoshop CS3 on Mac all in one window, the way it works in Windows? The way it currently works drives me crazy because I use an extra monitor or my MBP to edit pictures, and having the menu on the MBP screen, but the palets on my external is really annoying... I've searched through the menus countless times and can't find the option to do so.

Thanks.

Doesn't Window > Workspace > Default Workspace bring everything into one screen for you?

BTW, if you want to be able to go back to the workspace you're currently using, save it first (Window > Workspace > Save Workspace..) before switching back to the default workspace.

No, that doesn't work... I want Photoshop to open in one window, just like it does in Windows. Right now (or the way you showed me) Photoshop just has some pallets on top of the desktop, so if I click on the desktop then Photoshop "disappears", I need to alt-tab back to it. I want everything in one self-contained window, like Bridge or most other applications.

That's basically how a lot of the programs work on the Mac. It's like the "window" the program is runnin in is invisible except for the menu bar at the top of the main screen.

That's what I've figured out since I switched to Mac... So I take it there's no way of making it all in one window? Too bad...

You could try pressing 'F' once (Full screen mode). You then loose the desktop. Maybe another way of getting what you want?
