My future daughter-in-law has her back surgery scheduled for after the wedding. She injured her back at work as well and the first surgery was undone when she coughed so much due to a bad cold. She is having a hard time getting the surgery approved by her insurance.
Back surgery aside, your incision looks good. You should have seen the railroad tracks I got once. Ooooo. Talk about weird. The doctor found out I was allergic to something, maybe even the staples.
Glad to see you are doing so much better.
That was one of my biggest fears. I was afraid I would move wrong and rip the incision open. They said they stiched it so good that it would take something short of a miracle to rip it open. I wish her the best of luck. It is definitely now fun. I know insurance companies are a pain. It took almost 5 months for them to finally aprove the surgery. They only did after we went to mediation with the lawyers.
I had mine surgery in Jan. of 2006, went through hell before that( check out the name on my avitar ) The key is core strengthening. And don't push it! It takes time to heel.
Everyone tells me that the stomach muscles make all the difference. I have lost about 15 lbs. Since I was injured. This is good news for me. I have about 10-15 more lbs to loose and I will be back to my normal weight. College did a number on me. I want to do exercises, but I know right now there is nothing I can do but walk, so thats what I do.
