I finally got close to an Eagle yesterday evening. I startled it while looking for shorebirds. It must have had a meal on the shore somewhere as it circled me a few times (the in flight pics), then when I cut through the woods it landed nearby still yaking at me. So I edged up to a tree, leaned out and got the perched shot, adjusted EC due to the Sunlight and it was gone. Its my best Eagle capture so far, so I'm happy.

#1 My fav. the perched shot, still yaking at me.

I would say those were warning Chirps and the aggitation was shown by the circling is common for warning behavior. Often the mate would also join in the circling behavior.

Great Action Series Trevor

Well Done!!!

That's a pretty good job Trevor you have done on eagles in the wild, obviously no baiting, no hides/blinds.
(If you go to some other specialized bird forums, you will see some super shots of baldies, however, many of them were done in Homer, Alaska....in my view, those eagles are as wild as my stunt ducks in Mississauga. In fact, I think my ducks are significantly more difficult to shoot in flight than those eagles;) )

Nice series Trevor. #1 is my favorite. I very seldom saw them here with their mouths open, unless there was a fish in it.

I almost said I wish winter would come back and bring the eagles, but then I woke up. :)

Thanks Everyone for the kind words! The first shot was actually my last of the Eagles that night. Only pp done was to crop and resize, and I cloned out a few distracting branches on the right. I think I'll revisit that area, might get lucky again.:D
