GBH in Nest, Downy WP & Goose Head Shot

I was out shooting at a few different places today.

Here are some of the results.

GBH in nest (There are at least 2 babies in there, but they were quite bashful today).

Nice catch of the heron and goose. And now I miss my downy's. They all seem to have gone back into the woods for the summer.

Very nice shots for sure, but I think your Heron is a Gray Heron.

Thanks. This little guy is quite noisy. He's found a hollow spot on that tree and it really echoes.

Nope, it's definitely a Great Blue Heron. We don't have gray herons here as far as I know.

Hmmm, I thought Gray Herons have the dark stripe on their head, Blue herons don't. Maybe I was wrong. I have quiet a few GBH shots, none of them have the dark stripe. Just Googled the keyword "Gray Heron" and found images like your bird. Whatever it is, very nice!
