Hi guys!

Im looking for a light weight yet sturdy tripod from either manfrotto or giottos (prefer manfrotto) for travelling around Malaysia and Singapore in the summer.

It needs to carry my 1dmkII and lenses such as 85 L, 17-40 L, 35 L, 135 L. So the lenses arent that heavy but the tripod needs to be feather weight.

I currently have a 055pro manfrotto and a 3-way manfrotto head.

What suggestions for tripod and head?

Thanks!

Great page! Thanks a lot.

Does the max load of the tripod need head weight taken into consideration?

So if tripod weight is 5 kg.

cam : 1.2 KG
lens : approx 1kg
flash: .5 kg
= 2.7 KG
head = 1kg

= 3.7 kg ?

I think so, because the ratings on that page for the various 'pods are just legs.
