I was out fishing with my dad this weekend and I run up on this Owl. He just stares at me and I begin to wonder why he's not flying away. He tries but then I see that his wing just flaps freely at the end. A complete break. Not sure what caused it. We brought it home and today the humane society should be coming to get it. Beautiful bird though. Not the greatest pics but I tried.

Good to read you took care of this wonderful bird. How on earth did you mamage to catch him? Their talons are lethal...welding gloves would help:D . If the Humane Society hasn't shown up he is going to get hungry very fast. The photos look good...love the eyes in the second.

Photographs are records of life. Pity they don't make music when you put them in a record player. :p

Called dad after work. He said he took it to the humane society and they are now taking car of him. He said the owl was very sluggish and they had to give him antibiotics. Didn't get any other info than that. I hope everything goes well though. :)
