The 1966 Broadway hit musical is set in Berlin from 1929 to 1930 during the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the N-a-z-i party. The story focuses on the developing relationship between a young English girl, a poor American writer and an attractive Berlin smuggler against the backdrop of the Kit Kat Club.

Here are a couple shots from the PLU performance this past weekend. Feel free to comment... or not comment, ha.

Flippin' outstanding stuff man! Great expressions, postures, composition, exposure, sharp, blah blah blah. ;)

I don't see a lot of really funky color in these. So either the lighting guy wasn't too creative (which is sometimes a good thing), or you did some white balance correction?

Quick comment, then I'm off to sleep ;)
Nice set, some minor points I'll maybe nag about tomorrow, nothing big.
Does look like a bit too much noise reduction: Skin looks *very* smooth, also on the guys...

The lighting was varied throughout, but mostly just different shades of yellow, so I just fixed the white balance in most shots.

Yeah... the outfits surprised me a bit when I showed up. I wasn't really expecting that, ha. In fact, a lot of the shots I got of the girls are almost blackmail material

Great high ISO 1600 performance! haha. I actually didn't do any post on these other than RAW conversion. I stopped using noise reduction a few months ago because I didn't like the results too much. I suppose everyone here has some good makeup!

Outsanding - I'd certainly be really proud to have taken any of these. Wonderfully sharp, nice colours, great use of DOF and lovely framing. Well done.

#4 is the one that grabs me - beautiful eyes...

regards,

Good ISO 1600 performance indeed then ;)

Okay, the little nags:

#1: A *bit* tight in the top (girls in the BG right)
#2: Very nice as is.
#4: Pity the left BG dancer is behind the first, and the left far BG dancer behind the second.
#5: I would have liked to see the hands.
#6: Very minor: A bit more space to include the feet.
#8: Straighten a bit (clockwise)
