Alright. After thinking it over for a day I think I'm going to send it in. Might as well since it's bothering me and it's still under warranty.

I have a question for those of you who have sent things in before, though. Which shipping carrier did you go with? I'm thinking of just sticking with Canada Post. Good idea? Bad?

CP Xpresspost is a pretty good option, fast and economical.

Just a thought; I have a potential warranty problem creeping up so I went into my dealer to talk about it. They sent me to the local camera repair facility that don't do Canon warranty repair, but said they would send it to Canon Calgary. I'd read the post from the disgruntled user in Alberta, so I asked the local repair shop how Canon Calgary was. The reply was that they felt Canon Calgary was very good.

It's about time for me to get going with mine, so I'll have some personal experience in a few weeks - not much help for "terriyaki".

Edit PS: Even the best service shops will eventually get a bad comment their way.
