430EX Purchased ! :D

Just wanted to share my excitement...I'll have possesion of the Canon Speedlight 430EX tomorrow sometime.

I can't wait :D.

I see you have the 430EX as well, is there anything in it that you want that the 430EX does not offer ?

no actually its the opposite. i bought it because it had something additional that i needed. i have a 383 which is a bit more powerful but it doesn't have a focus assist beam. since you are starting with a flash that has it you will probably never appreciate it like you would if you started with something else. believe me the the af assist is invaluable. I've missed many shots because i couldn't lock focus with my 383 mounted that i would have easily gotten with my 430. the 430 is also great for outdoor fill. i could do it with the 383 but it was a lot more complicated. i wouldn't mind the extra power or master capability of a 580 but i have yet to run into a situation where i "needed" either. the 430 is deffinitley a solid flash.
