It was an overcast day, so not a lot of light to work with, but it was fun watching him splash around.

All 300mm - ISO 100 - f/3.5 - between 1/250 & 1/400

These are great! (on the last one he looks like he's thinking "Lookin' Gooood!"  ) I've seen them dive for fish and get out of the water but not "bathe"...nice series!

Awesome shots! I am very, very jealous, and have no problem admitting it.
Thanks for sharing these....

Very impressive - especially @ 300mm. Must have gotten very close to it! Amazing clarity in every one of them.

These are really refreshing compared to the usual "Osprey in flight with fish in talons" we normally get to shoot. Very cool series!!

Thanks all. I was pretty happy with these shots. My wife saw him sitting on this post, this morning.

So, I went out to take a few pictures. He quickly jumped in and started splashing around. He let me get fairly close, probably because I've been stalking him out back for weeks. :) I kept missing the head dunk shots(happened too quickly), but I think I snapped a couple good pictures. Thought they were different so I posted them here.
