Just a couple quick pictures from an airshow this weekend. Mainly trying out the brand new XTi my wife just bought me! Finally got the upgrade from the Canon G6. 1st attempt at flying objects :lol: fortunately, the 2nd shot the plane was stationary.

Congrats on the new gear. That second one is an F-22 Raptor isn't it?...

Actually, that is the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Resembles the F-22 a lot.

What is the difference? Different role? Looks like pretty much the same airframe.

The quick answer. The F-22 is an Airforce bird. The JSF will be utilizied by all branches of the mil.

More specifically, the JSF can be tuned for different applications.. so it better suits each branch of the Mil (plus the UN I believe?)

The F-22 is our new air superiority jet

They're fun to shoot at (with cameras)
