Finally I got some decent shots of this beautiful songbird. While not as showy as the Baltimore Oriole, I think the colors are really lovely. And this bird was more cooperative than usual, as it was just above eye level, singing, unconcerned by my presence. Their eyes seem to reflect a lot more light than the Baltimore Oriole. Even in some darker shots, I was still able to get a catchlight, without a flash.

Very nice looking Bird Bob. The Orioles just got here but I haven't had any luck yet. I can hear them though. :)

What a cute little bird. Word is they are around here but I have yet to see one.

The captures are excellent, Bob. The color is excellent and the clarity is perfect. The catchlight in the eye just tops it off.

Well done as usual.

Wow these are nice! Beautiful color and detail. I have had no luck getting close to the very few I've seen. You have nailed it. :)

They are both very nice, but the second is super.
The framing I like very much.....whereby the bird is placed within a nice environment.
Natural looking colours and sufficient sharpness.

Another of my favorite birds that I've never been able to get a photo of. There were a pair last week at an area public garden singing their beautful song and quick as usual so no photos.

Great shots you have there and what a treat to have gotten them!

Great shots, Bob—especially the second one. Is that a Black Cherry he's sitting in?
