I finally had a full day of "real" use of the MkII. Up until yesterday I have been playing with it, taking shots, chimping reviewing stuff in between shots. Yesterday I did a 2 hour shoot at the beach for some candid family shots for a couple and a young girl.

The pace was pretty fast (400 frames/2 hours), with my wife swapping cards and lenses while I was trading off bodies. One note, the 512s fill up fast.....

The MkII did very well. I was really impressed with the speed of the autofocus, and the image quality. I also had a friend with a "N" body camera show up and was totally blown away. He may become a new convert to the Canon side soon. Since the young girl was in the curious stages she spent alot of time running back and forth, and the MkII didn't miss a step. I haven't played with the AI sensitivity yet, but may try that soon. If anyone has already done that, let me know.

Oh well, just wanted to pass on some more praise about this camera. Guess I better get back to processing...

Way to go Canon...! :D

I can point you in the direction where I got mine, but have to warn you, they are high maintenance and expect brand loyalty for life. Its a steep price to pay, but has worked for me so far....unless they come out with faster 36X or 38X versions later in life....we'll have to wait and see.
